MUNICH, August 1, 2024 – Digital asset liquidity provider, Hyphe, and leading European crypto exchange, Bitvavo, have entered into a strategic partnership that enables Hyphe to offer German retail customers access to trade around 300 crypto assets with very competitive fees. Operating under the name ‘Bitvavo powered by Hyphe’, German users will not only enjoy an extensive asset inventory, but also the intuitive product experience that has helped make the Dutch crypto exchange the leading player in its home market and one of the leading trading platforms in Europe. The service is currently in an advanced testing mode as part of a staged rollout, and will soon be available for the general public, through both web and mobile applications.
MUNICH & GRAZ, February 27, 2024 - Hyphe, Trever, and Tangany a trio of digital asset service and technology providers, have created Launchpad, an out-of-the-box trading, custody, order and treasury management solution enabling financial institutions to quickly launch their own products and services in this important new asset class. Hyphe’s German subsidiary, Hyphe Markets GmbH, which is licensed by the country’s financial regulator, Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin), will handle liquidity provision and trading, while Austria-headquartered Trever will cover order and treasury management, and customer bookkeeping, combining forces to make digital asset provision simple, seamless, and safe. Munich-based fintech, Tangany, also BaFin-licensed, will act as custodian.

The agreement includes both operational banking to support Hyphe’s digital asset liquidity platform, and FX services helpful to Hyphe’s institutional clients wishing to trade outside of Euro pairs.
Amsterdam, October 4, 2023 - Trading technology leader, Wyden, has integrated Amsterdam-based digital asset liquidity provider, Hyphe. The partnership gives Wyden clients the opportunity to access Hyphe’s proprietary liquidity pool and extensive digital asset coverage.
German financial regulator, Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin), has issued Hyphe Markets GmbH with a securities trading licence, allowing the firm to offer its trading services to regulated financial institutions in the country.
Hyphe, the digital asset liquidity provider for financial institutions, has received a certificate of compliance to ISO 27001 Information Security Management by internationally-renowned certification body, BSI Group. The certification reinforces Hyphe’s commitment to the highest security standards ahead of Europe’s new Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.
So far, there is only one crypto company in the Netherlands with a DNB registration that also - partly - acts as a market maker: Hyphe. Unlike traditional market makers, Hyphe does not engage in proprietary trading. The company aims to improve pricing in the crypto market by using an algorithm to continuously analyse the order books of other platforms.

This includes a new issuance, VanEck’s Crypto Leaders ETN, launched in January. VanEck’s latest ETP enables investors to track the movement of a weighted basket of the most prominent digital currencies. VanEck now has the option to use Hyphe to execute trades across the underlying portfolio.

Amsterdam, 31 August - Hyphe, a digital asset liquidity provider, has hired former UBS and Deutsche Bank quant trader, Timur Bakeev, as Head of Trading to accelerate the firm’s efforts in enabling European financial institutions to offer digital currency trading to their customers. In his new position, Bakeev will be responsible for managing Hyphe’s proprietary liquidity pool - making the core product more efficient - and helping prepare the way for a fast-approaching future where digitally tokenised assets will be the norm, creating many more liquid markets than currently exist.
